Terms and Conditions
Version 1.4 – Updated March 2018
This document sets out the terms and conditions of joining the National Federation of Self-Employed and Small Businesses Limited (The Federation”, “FSB”, “We” or “Us”) via the third party service “FSB Monthly” provided by Nettl of Weymouth Limited.
These terms and conditions are subject to variation from time to time. Variations will be notified on our website – www.fsbmonthly.org.uk- and the latest version of these terms and conditions will be available there.
By joining FSB you will meet and be introduced to other members who offer products and services which may be of use to you. If you purchase any product or take any advice or assistance from an affiliate or member of the Federation, this will be an arrangement purely between yourself and the other party. The Federation does not act as agent to introduce services and does not accept any liability for products sold or advice or assistance given by one member or affiliate to another on any matter whatsoever unless such advice or assistance has been approved and authorised by the Operations Director in writing in advance.
Right of Joining Services
As a right of joining FSB Connect- FSB Networking, First Voice, Big Voice are available to all FSB Connect affiliates, unless specifically excluded at the time of joining.
As a right of joining FSB Essentials – Big Voice, FSB First Voice, Online Legal Hub, FSB Legal Protection, FSB Care, FSB Lobbying, FSB Connect Networking, FSB Cyber Protection, FSB PR / Crisis Management and FSB Cyber Protection are available to all FSB members, unless specifically excluded at the time of joining.
As a right of joining FSB Creation – Big Voice, FSB First Voice, Online Legal Hub, FSB Lobbying, FSB Connect Networking, FSB Company Formation, FSB Start Up Business Advice and Wiley ‘Dummies Guide’ are available to all FSB members, unless specifically excluded at the time of joining.
The FSB does not act as agent to introduce members to these service providers and does not accept any liability for products or services provided by these service providers to members. If members choose to use these services, the arrangement is between the member and the service provider.
The Federation reserves the right to amend, withdraw or add any right of membership service, and such amendment shall not give rise to any liability for refund of membership fees paid or require any additional fee to be paid.
Joining the Federation
For joiners of FSB Essentials and FSB Creation, upon acceptance of your application the date of joining the Federation will be the date of submission of your application, and future subscriptions will be due on this day each month. Subscriptions fees are reviewed annually and the current fees are provided on the Federation’s website. By submitting an application form online, you are deemed to have signed the application form.
The level of subscription for FSB Business Essentials depends on the number of employees that you have in your business(es) for which you are seeking to use the benefit of the services which you receive as a right of membership. If the number of employees varies from year to year you need to contact Customer Services at head office to advise them of the change to ensure that you are paying the correct membership fee from the next renewal date. If you do not do so then the Federation reserves the right to withdraw the benefit of those services which you would receive as a right of membership. If you provide false or misleading information the benefits to which you would normally be entitled as a member will be withdrawn.
For joiners of FSB Connect upon acceptance of your application the date of joining FSB Connect will be the date of submission of your application, By submitting an application form online, or acceptance of the terms and conditions at a FSB Connect Networking event via Eventbrite you are deemed to have signed the application form
You may resign from the Federation at any time in writing to: Customer Services, FSB Monthly, Nettl of Weymouth Limited, 15 Oxford Court, Cambridge Road, Weymouth, Dorset, DT4 9Gh; or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that only written resignations can be accepted.
If you choose to resign within your first 11 months of membership, you will be required to settle the remaining monthly charges up to the final month’s payment. Any cancelled direct debit within the membership subscription period will result in a £25 administration charge.
Joining of the Federation is on a personal basis. There is no facility for corporate membership.
The Federation does not accept liability for any advice given to affiliate or member either by other affiliates or members of the Federation, FSB Connect, Federation employees or anyone purporting to act on behalf of the Federation. Any advice provided to affiliates or members is intended as initial guidance only and should not be relied upon or acted upon as substantive advice by the third party, who should seek appropriate independent professional advice according to the nature of their problem.
Within 14 days of completing your application you will be contacted by one of our personnel with further details of our benefits and by submitting your application you give your consent for us to contact you.
The Federation reserves the right to refuse any application to join any FSB joining category.
On cancellation taking effect, or on other termination, the benefits of the joining package will cease and you will not be entitled to the benefit of any part of the package which was due to be provided or fulfilled after the date of such cancellation/termination.
How we communicate with you
When you join the Federation, you provide us with your personal details, including your address and email. By giving us this information and after giving explicit consent, you are agreeing that the Federation contact you from time to time by telephone, email, SMS, text message or post with information related to services, products and events.
You may, at any time, update and amend your preferred method(s) of communication, opt out of receiving communications from the Federation, change your contact details or set your email preferences, by contacting 0808 20 20 888 or amending via the My Account / My Details section www.fsb.org.uk.
If you do not wish other organisations to receive any information about you, you may, at any time, update and amend your preferred method(s) of communication, opt out of receiving communications from the Federation, change your contact details or set your email preferences, by contacting 0808 20 20 888 or amending via the My Account / My Details section www.fsb.org.uk.
By using the FSB’s website, you consent to and agree to comply with the terms outlined above.
